How the product works
FlowWitness observes one explicit outcome. It does not replace Shopify Flow or silently retry merchant operations.
What does FlowWitness monitor?
One paid-order Shopify Flow workflow per store. When Shopify reports that an order was paid, FlowWitness starts the configured deadline and waits for the matching completion action.
Where do I put the completion action?
Add Report completion to FlowWitness at the end of every branch that counts as successful. Use the monitor key shown inside the app.
What happens when the action never arrives?
The checkpoint becomes overdue. FlowWitness opens one incident and sends one deduplicated email with the deadline and a direct Shopify Admin order link.
Does FlowWitness retry or change my workflow?
No. It records whether the expected completion arrived. You decide how to investigate, retry, or correct the workflow.
What if the completion arrives after the deadline?
The event is recorded as late completed. The original incident remains in the audit history so the missed deadline is not erased.
What order data is stored?
FlowWitness keeps the shop and order identifiers, monitor key, timestamps, checkpoint state, incident state, and email status. It does not store customer contact details, addresses, payment details, line items, or the complete order payload.
How long is history available?
The Free plan provides 7 days of completed and resolved history. Pro provides 90 days. Pending checkpoints and unresolved incidents remain visible until handled.
How does billing work?
Shopify hosts plan selection, approval, invoices, changes, and cancellation. FlowWitness never receives card or bank details. The Free plan costs $0. Pro costs $9.99 per month after a 14-day trial.
What happens when I uninstall the app?
Future monitoring stops and the store's application sessions, monitor settings, monitoring records, and cached entitlement are deleted. Verified Shopify privacy webhooks are also handled.
